Only have got to play with it a little bit but it is impressive. Does the average person need this much light, probably not but if you are a flashlight junkie or really need a lot of light this is it. As far as durability goes we will see. I have 4 other Nitecore flashlights and they are holding up good so far.

Perfect compromise between spot and flood for hunting.  Plenty of light.  Four batteries give good run time at any light level.  Only reason it's not a 5 is that it's very easy to hit switch accidentally when using light, changing light level without intending to.

Longhorn Tactical was very helpful in making the decision about which light to buy.

5 of 5 Exceptional - in every respect! July 16, 2014

The Nitecore TM26 XM-L2 is an exceptional performer - this, not only in terms of it's lighting prowess, but also it's exceptional quality and craftsmanship - not to mention, the inclusion of that "super cool" OLED display!
Before opting to purchase it, through Longhorn Tactical (who, by the way were fantastic in terms of price and service), I read numerous reviews citing the impracticality of the TM26 due to it overheating. In the way I use this "nothing short of remarkable" flashlight, I do not find this to be an issue.
Also, and while I prefer the different light output setting ring on both my Thrunite TN32 and TN35 (also remarkable flashlights!), the mode switch on the Nitecore, though not as direct, is not the sort of thing I would count as a negative - rather, just different.
A very definite 5 out of 5 stars! - to Nitecore, and Longhorn Tactical for the great price, service, and packaging! Thank you.

Pricy but worth it. Built like a brick s***house and lights up the night like a mini sun. Need to take the time to learn the intricacies of the switch.
